Two local Las Vegas favorites – Snake-Babe and Box-Man – will be performing. “I kept hearing about this big show going down in Vegas, and I was planning to go check it out anyway,” says Fratto, “and then my phone rings and now I’m a judge for the stripper competition. That’s very cool, because this sounds like a pretty hot show that will be a lot of fun.”
Richard Vission will headline the first night, which also features Scooter and Lavelle, Drummer KC, Gen-XX, and the multi-sensory laser-filled wizardry of Mobius8. Gilby Clarke – a longtime member of Guns N’ Roses, and star of CBS’ Rockstar:Supernova, will join the Genitorturers – the world’s sexiest band – as headliners for the second night, which also features LA-based rockers D’amato, and Girls Girls Girls – an all-female Motley Crue tribute band. Rising hip-hop artist Chuck Nutt will perform the event's theme song My Stripper Lover , written by Perry Mann. Arielle Paige, a young and sexy songstress will make her Las Vegas debut performing her first release Dirty on the Dance Floor. All the main-stage activities will be hosted by the sinister and stylish Paul Nathan, who promises a few special surprises.
Bobbi Billard, the multitalented myspace vixen who is ranked as the #1 most downloaded babe on the internet, will be on hand along with Asian supermodel Akira Lane to host some on-stage antics. Both ladies are stars of the horror classic remake Ice Scream – The Remix. The Porcelain Twinz, two gorgeous pale-skinned identical twin sisters who boast one of the hottest burlesque acts in the world, will be performing both nights. Schevelle , Miss Nude Entertainer of the Year 2006-2007, will also perform both nights.
Strippers from Déjà vu, Palomino, Club Paradise and Olympic Gardens are among those that will compete for over $20,000 in cash and prizes both nights. The categories for the competition are Best Body, Best Dancer, and Best Pole Dancer. The semifinals will occur on stage at the Ball on August 30th, and the finals on August 31st. The competition will be hosted by Paul Nathan along with Heather Chadwell from VH-1’s Rock of Love and I Love Money.
Billed as “a full weekend of eye-popping entertainment,” Perry Mann and company have created two evenings of cool music and hot, sexy performances. Says Mann – “The Strippers and Hustlers Ball is designed to top anything else Las Vegas has to offer this Labor Day Weekend!”

PEACHES GELDOF MARRIES IN VEGAS
08.12.2008
In another TheVegasEye.com and WENN exclusive; SIR BOB GELDOF's daughter PEACHES has married in Las Vegas. The 19-year-old socialite wed Max Drummey last week, whilst she was on vacation in America. Geldof met 23-year-old Drummey, the drummer in rock band Chester French, two years ago. The teenager was recently rumoured to be dating Faris Rotter, fromBritish band The Horrors. A spokesperson for Geldof confirmed the nuptials in a statement to Heat magazine's website Heatworld.com, "Peaches and Max Drummey are delighted to announce their very happy marriage. The couple tied the knot in a simple low-key ceremony in Las Vegas last week. "Their marriage has the full support of their family and friends. Peaches and Max did not want unnecessary publicity, but following growing media speculation, have decided to set out the facts. No further comment from either will be forthcoming."
Once back in England, Peaches Geldof appears to be flouting the rules her dad Sir Bob laid down with regards to her party lifestyle. She turned up at Maddox club with new husband Maxwell Drummey and after a few hours they left together and headed back to her North London apartment, looking rather embarrassed.
Green Fairy hits LA
08.12.2008
Served nightly, at a price of $5 per glass, guests can celebrate the triumphant return of this formerly-banned liquor by observing one of alcohol's most inventive pours, demonstrated by the centuries-old French-serving ritual associated with this high-proof emerald elixir.
Concocting the “Green Fairy”
Arriving at a drinkable glass of absinthe requires short, but dramatic steps. A few ounces of “Le Tourment Vert” absinthe
(100-proof, 50% alcohol content) are poured into a glass, which is then followed by equal parts of ice water chilled in a specially-designed absinthe fountain. The cocktail is finished with a flourish of cascading water over a sugar cube, which sits perched atop a special slotted-silver spoon, lying across the glass. With five parts water, one-part absinthe, the concoction, known as the Green Fairy, becomes a delicious aperitif. Guests can also opt for a fierier spectacle, which includes the setting of the sugar cube ablaze before melting it into a snifter glass of absinthe, and cooling it down with ice cubes.About Absinthe
The mysterious allure of absinthe is unparalleled in the annals of history—due in part to the myths and lore that surround it. Its most notorious and recently dismissed assignation identified absinthe as promoting drug-induced, psychotropic effects – side effects under which many claim to have seen the illusive “green fairy.” Derived from the flowers and leaves of the herb, Artemisia-absinthium (more commonly known as wormwood), absinthe’s popularity dates back to 19th Century France, where it was highly-revered by café society and by the bohemian sub-culture. Loyal devotees of the drink included Vincent Van Gogh, Charles Baudelaire, Oscar Wilde and numerous other historical figures.
“L'Heure Verte” Details:
Cost per drink is $5
Every evening from 5 to 7PM
Parking is complimentary.
Cosmo Anyone?
08.12.2008 MGM Mirage, Hilton Hotels Corporation and Trump may be vying to take
advantage of developer Ian Bruce Eichner's financial troubles and take
over the foreclosed Cosmopolitan casino project.
Deutsche Bank announced this week it would foreclose on the Las Vegas
Strip luxury casino complex, after Eichner defaulted in January on a
$760 million loan, and has been unable to obtain alternate financing.
The bank has been reluctant to take over the project, which was slated
to open in late 2009. Even seasoned casino operators are struggling to
maintain business in the current economic environment, and the bank's
directors prefer to stay in the banking business rather than run a
destination resort.
Thus, TheVegasEye.com has learned that the bank has contacted companies to either buy out the project,
or perhaps enter into a partnership running the casino. MGM, Hilton
and Trump are all prominent among the interested parties, although MGM already
has significant exposure in its CityCenter construction, one of several
multi-billion dollar investments begun on the Strip at the most
inappropriate of financial times. Troubles started early on in the project when the name has
brought problems, as Cosmo magazine has sued to prevent any
misconception concerning their involvement.
The Cosmopolitan was planned to host two high-rise towers, a sandy beach
and pool overlooking the Strip, and three wedding chapels. As well as, a deal struck by Michael Politz that would feature the largest champagne bottles popping its cork above the Las Vegas Strip.
